Changes in v2.23a:
New Additions
· Skulls! Players will now drop a skull when they perish! This can be used as proof of a kill for you bounty hunters out there! They aren't worth anything in stores but they may be worth some gold to another player!
· Whenever a player gains a level, a congratulations message is broadcast to all players in the game! Hey, you work hard for those levels and deserve some recognition for achieving them!
Changes
· XP & Gold penalty is now applied whenever you die! It will happen BEFORE you respawn to stop cheaters/exploiters from leaving the game and re-joining to avoid the penalties.
· Balor summoning ANYPLACE in the Eleriina District will now result in an immediate trip to the local prison as well as be completely un-functional for the player.
· Death in the Eleriina Prison is now permenant...in other words, you can't jail-break by killing yourself...you'll just lay there until someone resurrects you.
· The Temple of Mystra in Eleriina will now TAKE GOLD when you donate and will also require that you have enough gold in order to make a donation. The prices have gone up also. 50,000 per alignment point. On a side note (dragoon seekers) you cannot donate and get back to perfect neutrality. You will skip the 50% mark and go one up.
· XP rewarded for killing the Ogre Eater has been significantly reduced to a CR of 10. This will keep you high levels from hunting the poor beast.
· Glather's now have a uniform CR to mix up the groups you get when you encounter them. The Glather Lord has also been given True Seeing which was missing from him from some reason. Some dishonest players were making sewer runs with key in hand for the loot and not having to work for their earnings.
· Other minor changes not worth mentioning here...
It's going to be compiling now (4:16pm ET) and then it'll be uploaded to the win32 box for installation.

One thing though- should you find yourself in jail, you can always hire a certain halfling rogue to break you out.

It can only be picked with the help of items, make the DC maybe 2-3 higher and it'd be perfectly tough. Great for anyone that really wants free, but has a lot of gp. _________________ Your Friendly Scottish Hardass Ex-Moderator

make it impossoble to get out.. and you have to pay a fee to get out, like a bail. have it set at how serious the act was and repeat offenders and so on.. |

You shouldn't make it impossible, thats just cutting out a whole course of action. Paying for a Jailbreak a great idea, on picking the lock, alarms and guards could be triggered and your hostil to them for the rest of the day. _________________ Your Friendly Scottish Hardass Ex-Moderator

What about if they try to pick it and fail the alarm goes off? Then the guards dogs pop up and are hostile for like a real time day? To easy to make a game day go by

Can Dysotopia be downloaded? I've been playing it from Asia so the pings aren't very nice. Maybe I could run a Dysotopia server here in Asia, just for the Dys-Asians fans. |
