Oh my! I just remembered this awesome TV-series, Lexx! It was broadcasted here in Sweden four years ago I think, only the two seasons (of four) was shown though. Didn't draw to much viewers I guess, but that is because it takes time to get involved with the complex story lines and the complicated characters you meet. icon_smile.gif

How many of you have watched this series? I think it is extremely good. I so love all the main characters; Stan, Xev, Kai and of course, 790 icon_biggrin.gif I just love 'em! And there is so much odd things happening to them all the time. At first glance, many people thinks it is just some B-series that just plain sucks. But those people are wrong! It takes time and dedication to get to understand it.

Now, I would like to ask you if you could help me in my campaign to get Lexx back to the Swedish television broadcast. If you love the series as much as I do, or just want to be kind enough to help me, you can just copy the following text and send it to info@kanal5.se and/or info@tv3.se It would be most appreciated icon_wink.gif

Hej!

Tack på förhand, <your name>

It would be really cool if you could help me in this. Me and my freinds are getting desperate weirdlook.gif
And if you get an answer, it would probably be in Swedish, so you could just forward it to me if you wish. By PM, E-mail or whatever.

Cheers, Dennis

LEXX...hard to describe, that one. Seasons 3 and 4 are different, but just as inspired as the movies and 2. I didn't find the main plots as interesting, but the jokes and general depravity were just as good. Can't stand what they did with Xev's hair though, and the Lexx itself got the shaft.

Brigadoom is still our fav, and the only one we have taped.

It's too bad DirecTV is only a US thing (or am I way off?) They show it on the SciFi Channel on Monday thru Thursday at 7am GMT. Channel 244. I love that show, when I'm up early (or late) enough to watch it. Used to be on at like 3amGMT, but they moved it I think last summer.

Hehe, I found this poll here.
http://pub31.bravenet.com/vote/vote.asp?usernum=2589131454&cpv=1
As you can see, Lexx, or Lexx characters, are possible to be voted upon in every category. Now, do your duty and vote icon_biggrin.gif

If you are a bit uneducated on the whole Lexx thing, here are the correct answers:
Question 1: LEXX
Question 2: Stanley Tweedle (or) Kai
Question 3: Xev (or) Zev
Question 4: LEXX
Question 5: LEXX
Question 6: LEXX
Question 7: Male (or) Female

Interesting poll, but I would have to say that Farscape has the best visual effects and gripping storyline. Interesting to see that the majority of the votes where female too, unless it was the SciFi nerds voting as females. That could explain the high number of votes for Xev I suppose.
Side note, they should have kept the old actress to play that part (Zev at that time.) Much more attractive, imho.

Whatever. I never heard of that Farscape anyways, care to explain a bit about it?

And I hope your personal opinions did not get in the way for more votes on Lexx in every category. I gave you the right answers to all questions. Don't start to develop your own opinions just like that icon_wink.gif

Hm, how many actressess played Zev/Xev? I didn't watch the series much, only a few episodes, and the original mini-series. The original mini-series was a german/canadian coproduction and the actress starring as Zev german, she's now playing in several german tv series, so no luck for you on the other side of the atlantic emot-yum.gif

Farscape??? Farscape??????? That Sci-fi show that totally sucks, well at least that is my opinion, and the opinion of all of my friends that actually saw it.

Anyway, I disagree, i must say that Red Dwarf is way, way, way better than Farscape icon_biggrin.gif (Fish, fish, fish, fish, fish, fish)

Ok, better than FarScape or Red Dwarf. Dune! The SciFi remake of it. I doubt there's anyone that can argue that one! I hear they are going to be making a mini-series based on it as well. Should be interesting

Dune is interesting to read, but i never saw any of it, and the last three books just plain sucked, in my opinion. They were probably just made because people wanted to get more money out of it. Bleh.

I didn't like the game because it felt like I was playing C&C, not Dune. I guess if I hadn't overplayed all the C&C games, I would haved liked it, but it felt like more of the same old crap as before.

It is by will alone that I set my mind in motion,
It is by the juice of Safu (sp?) that thoughts aquire speed,
the lips aquire stains,
the stains become a warning,
it is by will alone I set my mind in motion.
