The Thieves' Hood is supposed to grant immunity to poison, and yet it provides no protection against the Stink Beetles in the sewers. On failing the Fort Save vs. Poison my char is immediately dazed. Is this a BioBug, or is there something screwy with the way poison clouds are implemented here?

As far as I know it's all default behavior...probably something Bioware overlooked...  Reply with quote

I think protection against poison is protection against that particular effect only. The poison. Not against all saves against poison, jsut simply, poisoned thingie. YEah you know.

Actually the problem may be in the targetting. Many (if not most) of the immunities of this ilk are set for direct targetting, not so much area-effect. The stink beetle poison is an area effect ... stinking cloud, basically.

The other thing is, is how the cloud is handled vis a vis is it a "spell" or is it "poison" ... while the save may be against this or that, it's not necessarily the same as being hit with, say, arrows with a dc-18 poison effect, for example.
