Can I suggest removing the easy to obtain Imp. Evasion?

On Dyso 2.x basicly every person had improved evasion. It got to the point where the vast majortiy of magic wasn't really used much because it would have zero effect.

It was my understanding that Dyso 3.x was supposed to address this rampent problem.

Well we are in Dyso 3.x and the problem is still present. Everyone who can use the level 11 or so Emerlad Charm has one and hence, improved evasion.

It goes without saying that Improved Evasion is one of the most powerful skills in the game. Why then is it so easy for people to obtain?

Items that grant such balance altering abilities should be DM granted only and not on a monster that respawns every time the server crashes and is rather easy to beat once your past a certan level or you know someone who is.

So my suggestion is to remove the easy to get improved evasion item(s) and give the rogues back a reason to get to 10th level.

If people want some sort of evasion then let them take a couple levels of rogue. Don't just give them an item that effectivly gives them a 10th level rogue power without being a rogue.

Agreed

IMHO imp Evasion shouldnt even be on any items !

maybe Evasion, as a rareirty

but it hightly, destorys the Ballance of Magic

Yeah I was rather disappointed to see many of the immunities on items still there. Mind spells immediately comes up. Improved evasion is also irritating. The old RP joke was that a cleric was exentially a walking wand of healing, but now is seems as though Rogues have been packaged into amulets and rings. Hopefully this stuff will be gone in rebirth, I was really hoping it'd be gone here. Anywho that's just my little opinion.

Remove everything I dont mind, as a monk all I need is some gloves anyway. And Immunity to mind spells... well I reach that at level 20. Yeah take away the golden circlet love the idea of it, but at least put in a helmet that looks nice instead,
yeah take away imp evasion items, but at least gimme a nice robe instead icon_mrgreen.gif

I'm all for taking out immunities of all kind. That way spells like (greater) mind blank are useful again, and it greatly enhances forming balanced parties (casters are needed as defensive forces too, not only wilting machines).

I thought imp. evasion was gone. That it did exist on the emerald charm, but you had to be level 20 anyway. Hmm...

Don't like it. Improved Evasion on items is one of the most boring things I can think of.

I've also found a suit of armor with it on there. Pringel sells it.

I'm standing by dreamin' on this one. Get rid of immunities altogether. They reduce the effectivness of some classes, and turn others into unstoppable machines. It just be more of a challenge, and we all enjoy challenges. icon_smile.gif

It has been mentioned before. But it's best to just remove the immunity on the item and instead put some sort of Saving throw bonus on it, or the like. So the Golden Circlet for example, would isntead of mind spell immunity, add maybe 5 will save or something. And evasion would add reflex save. You get teh point.

anything with a save, of will (witch is nearly, half of all spells)

becomes useless aginest target ! more so if there saves are good !!!

No, but thats nothing we can do, Biowear needs to turn on the RTA (ranged touch attack) for magic ! That will most likely Fix it !  Reply with quote
