This is a bit of a pain. Being raised only to be completely blind. Surely a few lines of script could be added somewhere determining that if a raising effect is applied to the dead PC then the blindness effect gets removed? Just a thought.

I second that. A kobold kills me, I die, and in my attempt to run away blind, I run into another one. icon_eek.gif

sounds like no one did anything about this in the test period either, why didn't they fix this one? blah.... being blind can suck, maybe its there for effect though you think???

i mean, you died and just got raised back from the dead, wouldnt your char be dizzy or not see well if hes at 1 hp or even at max until he got his wits back? its like being slammed over the back of the head with a club, its called blackout maybe, and i thought it was mentioned blindness goes away after 1 minute at max....? :/

Well for starters the raise dead spell wasn't meant to be used so that you could fight instantly again and so in that instance being blind could certainly apply as you use your teammates to heal/unblind you.

However, though it hasnt happened to me, if the resurrection spell was used the target was meant to be able to join the fight instantly, therefore if the blind effect still occurs in this instance it should certainly be removed.

Jeez people. Carry some remove blind/deaf scrolls on you. Ya know that 10 of them occupy just one eensy-weensy little square in your inventory. icon_rolleyes.gif

You just got raised from the dead. You should be a little out-of-sorts in *some* way. When I DM'd in PnP, people who were raised started with a CON, DEX and STR of 3 that went up 1 point per round until reaching their actual level. Full ressurrection had no ill effects, however.

How can you (IC) read a scroll if you're blind?  Reply with quote

I just ask whoever rezzed me to take one of my scrolls and use it on me.

IC: Look in my pack for a scroll that returns my sight.
