You don't need to crack the CD in order to listen to your own music. There is a tab caleld Sound Options, you know. What you do there is to drag the volume control for MUSIC (default set to 75%) down to 0%, and voilá! No NWN music, and you can easily have your very own Winamp or Media Player running in the background.

Oh, and sorry about the CD...Truia. I love cats though.

What's wrong with using a crack to play w/o the CD? Works awesome for me, sorry if it does not for you, but yes BioWare will replace your CD.

And Kindo, I agree that Drudo should rip all his music down to .mp3 format, but some people don't like to break the law and don't have multiple CD players in their PC's like you, you gay rich S.O.B. so LAY OFF!!! Image03.gif

I just copy the CD's to my harddrive. Media player has that function, nothing illegal about it.

I think you only need the NWN CD at startup anyway.

Yeees, but it's for personal use only. And besides, they get securitated (hope that's a word). Which means I can send the songs to anyone, but they cannot play them anyway.

Actually making an mp3 backup of your cd isn't illegal. At least not here icon_biggrin.gif
We're allowed to have 1 backup for personal use.

Nooo no no. I meant I listen to music on CD's. And I'd say it's pretty hard to have both NWN and a music-CD in the drive icon_wink.gif

Yeah, so you copy them to your harddrive and run winamp(or whatever). OR you get another cd drive, OR you get a stereo-installation....icon_smile.gif

It isn't illegal to copy CD's for personal use YET, but the media companies are working on it.

You can pull the NWN CD out after the game loads, unless you're using a "minimum install." Or you can copy the NWN CD to your harddrive and mount it with a CD emulator like D-Tools.

I like listening to disturbed, rob zombie, and limp bizkit (not limited to, but mostly these 3, cant forget all the other great rock... godsmack, nirvana.. ect ect icon_mrgreen.gif ) in the background while playing NWN, it gives me some relaxation and power when I play, and it's downright excellent music to listen too... icon_mrgreen.gif

gives you a truly ownage bitch feel while playing...

Dopn't feel bad....I have a high speed CD rom and a few months ago (before they pulled out the random CD checks on NWN) I noticed my Cd was acting odd....so I pulled it out and low and behold....a CRACK! Along the inside.....

Well, initially it was only small, but after a few more days, it spread and now the CD is unusuable....luckily, I ALWAYS make a backup of my CD's so I just went and burned another. I should proabably send for another one via customer support, but just been too lazy. Damn cheap CD's....
