Are they real artists out there?
No. Pure Studio Work, so cd's sound awersome.

Or my faith in my new semi-alanis (Avril Lavigne) just got totally screwed up and gone after watching her in the first's MTV LATIN AMERICA AWARDS. Not even Shakira's first presentation ever was that pathethic, I just can't believe it, she was like a nasal annoying teenager with a bad case of a flue.

So, is it now that all artists cd's are overdone in the studio to make them sound nice? Does anyone out there do have a real voice now a days ? Or it's just studio work ?

This have nothing to do with dyso, but I'm just shocked.
Tada!

There ARE many artists who only sounds good with their voice all mixed.
Not everyone though. But I would like to add something else to this discussion, because I do not have much to say about that.

Avril Lavegne is such an half-real artist.
Her hit song, Complicated, was almost not written at all by herself.
When I looked that up, there were about five other names and then, at last, it said; A. Lavegne.
So that song is just meant to get peoples attention for her. I do not know about the other songs on the album.
But it is a fact. Her hit song was not fully written by her. She maybe wrote 10% of it at most.

My advice is: stay off this all-commercial music. It will only make you disappointed. There is no soul in it. It is just a song with clichés and music that is meant to stick in your head.
And often, the artist seldom writes the lyrics/music by herself.

You got to hate this Holly Valance for example. She takes that awesome song by Tarkan. And gets her producer or something to rewrite it in english. She then strips down to totally naked in the video, just to sell some more.
I hate that kind of cheap tricks.
There are almost no good 'real' music playing on MTV.

Hmm Avril has a cute face though emot-yum.gif
Anyhow, I'm more into trance.. But that's also going in a 'more-of-the-same' direction.

Avril is a commercial star made by a record company to appeal to the following:
1. A female audience
2. The "punk" crowd

SHe is nothing more than a product made by the record companies to will you all over and make money, i doubt she will make a second cd....this has happened with most of the popular groups/singers of the recent.....it seems to me music has died or was dead for some time...i only hope bands like the White Stripes and The Strokes will revive the rock scene

She's also Canadian which means she's assured major airplay in at least one major North American country. You all did know that Canadian radio mandates that around 60% of the music/talent aired MUST be of Canadian origin, did you not? You get going in, say, Toronto and those station's signals carry over to the states and people in the USA start asking about particular artists. Next thing you know you have state-side stations looking for the songs on the Canadian bandwidth.
