This sequel to the hit Final Fantasy X offers more kewl guns, less story, and more naked chicks.

They started to sway away from the "real" Final Fantasy feel in FFX already, but now in FFX-2 they take it even further. The intro movie this time is actually a pop-video with cool dance music, and an easy-dressed Yuna singing and dancing. The classic FF exploration phenomena is removed, since you have access to every area in the game already from the start.

Here are some teasers regarding the "nekkid chicks" in thise "tubular" new addition to the FF-series:
A more nekkid Yuna
A more nekkid Rikku

Whaddya think? I personally think that Rikku takes the cake on this one. Compare it to how she looked in the prequel:
Rikku - dressed

On that old one, she atleast wears SOME clothes! Oh, and you don't get to see Yuna from the behind on that one. I tell ya, that's some tight panties she has.

Whatever, I'm sure there are a bunch of you "easy-goers" who'll just say "Wow, far out!" bout this game. I personally hate this new style the FF games have.

Oh! And there will not be a story quite the same as the old games either. This time you do "missions". You go to an area, and activate the mission. Almost like some sort of those military squad games. Well, that's also kewl, I guess. And one of the "special, secret stuff" you'll search for this time is new outfits. So your already half-naked chicks can look even more hot and sexy.

Feel free to share your thoughts. But please refrain from dropping neanderthalic comments like "*drools* That's some hot chicks!" and the like. I want a real fan-discussion here. No freakin´crap!

You prolly know how I think about it already, but to sum it up: The FF feel disappeared completely with FFX, and it seems they'll continue on that line. (It's even worse seeing that pop-video crap of an intro.) And I doubt the Final Fantasy games will ever be the same. FF 1 through 9 were all awesome games, and I have now given up hope of seeing another game just as splendid as those, again.

R.I.P

I thought Rikku was better looking than Yuna, but in these games, theres always the romantic conflict, but really you can only go one way. I thought the same thing about the combat system in X, but it grew on me. I still think that 8 was my fave, then 2, 9, 1, X, and 7 really sucked ass.

It's just so sad that it had to go this way. Enticing customers by tempting with sex and catchy pop-tunes.

Yeah, Rikku was my fave too. She was all cute and sweet. I really liked her. But now she's just another slut.

I have faith in Squaresoft. Or rather SquareEnix.... whatever the hell they call it now. So... they have always delivered beautiful and masterful games, regardless to how dumb that they have looked. I first thought that Final Fantasy Tactics was really dumb looking but once I played it, it was fantastic!

I know its something new... but... again, I have faith in that company.

Oh! I just heard that Mr. Uematsu isn't the one responsible for the utterly crappy music in FFX-2.
They have a different music composer on that game. Appearantly someone who sucks.

Seriously, the soundtrack to X-2 is horrible.

FFX is about the worst game in my PS2 collection (most of the FF games I own are mearly for the collection). And I can't imagine FFX-2 being much better. Trying to make something of the typically stock characters from the previous game will only end up in a mess.
Only thing I liked in FFX was the new timing system, but then I go play Grandia 2 and laugh at it (for those that don't know, Grandia and Grandia 2 have the best combat systems ever).

Oh god Uin, I couldn't agree with you more!!!!!

As for being the worst game, well... I have to disagree with that one. I thought FFX was a masterpiece in every way! icon_biggrinno.gif

It felt like I was watching a movie, only that I had to walk for a few minutes and bash a few monsters before the next scene started. And like I said, it's darn cool with so many FMV's and cutscenes. But it takes away from the FF-feel. It did for me atleast.

I heard there's an Easter Egg cutscene of Yuna and Rikku gettin' it on.

For the record, I have no idea about anything pertaining to FFX or FFX-2.

Okay, first of all, bs.gif
Second, that would be disgusting, and they would never do something like that.

Never played FF. It sounds sort of like Metal Gear, watching a 45 min movie in Metal Gear... they could have made it a little more interactive.  Reply with quote

I have never played the Final Fantasy series in-depth, but I have managed to come up with the comment that the name is not that creative.

Reminds me of that X-men movie.

Shallow, money-horny crapmakers at Square-Enix:

"Hey, I want cash! Gimme cash!!"

"Ok Ok...well what about that Final Fantasy? That game's pretty famous."

"Ok cool...but damnit, we need to make it sell more!!"

"Well...we could make it a sequel to the other one. FFX."

"Cool! But the girls there wore too much clothing. Strip it off!!!"

"Yes, sir! Oh! What about guns? Guns are cool."

"Yeah, give one of the girls some guns. That'd make her look cool!"

"OK...well what about the music then? Should we stay with the fantasy-style? Nobuo's done a pretty good job so far."

"Hell no! Fire that crapface. We need POP! Pop...and dance! I've got it, let's have the intro video be a...POP VIDEO!! Oh my God, the kids will go crazy."

"Great idea, boss. Hey look at this, I just finished remaking Rikku. I gave her one of those sluttish Britney/Christina hairstyles, and removed all her clothes on her upper body. Lots of skin now, boss"

"Excellent! *Greedy smile*"

"Yeah, and on Yuna, I opened up her clothes a bit. And she now has the tightest ass ever, and you can see her tits!"

"Awesome!! Now we need a replacement for Lulu. A gothic titmaster."

"Sure thing, boss. What about this one? *Shows picture of Paine* Yeah, she's got a really awesome name. PAINE! And she's like goth-style, with black clothes, and...and... and you can see her tits!!"

"Son, you've got yourself a promotion coming. Excellent job!"

"Thank you, sir."
